Hi Friends,My in-laws were visiting this past weekend. My mother-in-law is an amazing beader. I've taught her how to weave some baskets throughout the years and this weekend she taught me to do the above beaded coaster. It is just the right size to sit my cup of coffee on in the mornings so you get an idea of its size. Took me about 4 hours to make.
Beading is one of those few crafts that I've not yet gotten involved in doing. I keep telling myself I CAN'T start another hobby!

Having had the pleasure to meet your MIL, and see a few samples of her work, I'd have to call her an exceptional and talented beading artist... and a fabulous and friendly woman!

Just beautiful! I understand about "just one more craft". I've got projects going in several rooms as it is.
Has your MIL made any of those stretchy beaded hair combs? I like those things. I'm not sure what they are called. lol
Oh wow - a whole doily from beads. I recently got into making beaded balls. Totally addictive - I just can't stop even though I have no real use for them. Have to browse your site now and see whether you have any easy, usable patterns.
