Share a Basket Sunday

This is a fun basket with a matchstick rim. The spokes are 1/4" flat reed that I've placed side by side. Then as I wove up the sides of the basket I split them into their individual parts. I just used some wild colors that I had on hand so I call this basket my "Fiesta Basket" and I get it out at Easter time.
Have a blessed Sunday,
Nancy

  1. I love this basket! The colors are so vivid! Is that chase weave at the base?

  2. The base is made from tripple twining or three rod wale.

  3. I love how the use of the different colors gave me an "instant tutorial" on how to create this rim. This would be fun for Cinco de Mayo :-)

  4. Bright did it! If the weave on the template will be more accurate.
