What's on Your Thanksgiving Table?

I've been a busy cook these last few days.
Here is our Thanksgiving menu for tomorrow:

  • Turkey

  • Dressing

  • Gravy

  • Cranberry Salad

  • Texas Potatoes

  • Green Beans

  • Rolls

  • Pecan Pie
  • Pumpkin Pie
  • Chocolate covered pretzels and nuts
What will you be on your table?
Love and blessings,
Nancy
Thank you God for this food and for the family we have to share it with. Amen

  1. I don't have the large "crew" of family members at my house this year (only 5 altogether), so this time, I'm going as traditional as possible (with a little bit of "retro" kicked in).

For starters, I'm serving a cheese fondue (that's the retro part...Do you remember having fondue parties back in the 70s?) with bread and vegetable assortment. For the main meal, I'm serving a smoked turkey and gravy, sweet potato casserole, cornbread stuffing, corn on the cob, collard greens (of course, I AM a southerner, and I love my greens!), fried green beans, jellied cranberry sauce, and cloverleaf rolls. For dessert, my Mom is making her awesome cheesecake, and I'm also serving a chocolate fondue for the chocoholics (like me) in the family. Whew! After looking at that list, I think I need to get started in the kitchen!

    P.S. What are Texas Potatoes?

    Best wishes,
    Jani

  2. Yum! I don't have to cook, so it'll be a surprise what is on the table for us! I'm sure it will be good!
I am curious, what are Texas Potatoes? Maybe a recipe to share with us someday?
    Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Nancy!
